We are delighted to invite you to the solo exhibition Framing Construct curated by Yiyun Jia, showing scripts and installations of the emerging artist and architect, Su Chang.
Su Chang, Cl_Event, Computer Graphics, 2017
Su Chang’s design drawings and models constantly explore the representational structure of spatial idea and the possibility for viewer to inhabit such spatial construct. Plans unfolded, sections fragmented, perspectives distorted, figures mis-scaled: we may call such technique an unfamiliar integration of typical representational methods. To enter such unfamiliarity requires the viewer’s imagination to read between the familiar elements, which subsequently produces new spatial construct jointly authored by the viewer and the designer.
